Running time: approx two hours, including intermission What to bring: lawn blanket or lawn chairs (blankets may be placed closest to the stage, chairs will be placed behind the blanket seating area to preserve sight lines); picnic items (alcoholic beverages are permitted); sunscreen and/or bug spray; a sweater, just in case of cooler night temperatures Where to park: We suggest parking in either The Green or Three Wachovia parking decks. Parking is a maximum of $5. Frequently asked questions: 1. Is the show appropriate for children? Yes, our shows are family friendly and appropriate for children over 10. Romeo and Juliet is a tragedy and does contain scenes of staged violence, including the deaths of several characters. Please keep this in mind if bringing younger children who might be sensitive to violence on stage. 2. Can I bring my dog? Yes, well-behaved leashed dogs are allowed on The Green. 3. What facilities are available at The Green? Indoor restrooms are available for our audience members. There are also a number of restaurants at The Green who sell food and beverages. 4. Why are your Sunday shows in the evening and not in the afternoon? We have found from experience that afternoon shows on The Green can be quite hot this time of year since there is little shade. Our Sunday shows are scheduled at 6:30pm this year - late enough to allow for shade and cooler tempratures, but early enough to appeal to those who prefer an earlier curtain time.
